As of August 2010, I stopped writing for Bass Guitar Magazine. I'd like to wish editor Nick Wells and his staff all the best with their fine publication. Unfortunately I don't have the time to write for more than one bass magazine, so for now all of my articles and interviews will be printed in Bass Musician Magazine, an online-only publication.
While I admire print magazines like Bass Guitar and Bass Player, for me the advantages of writing for an online 'webzine' are numerous. My articles are uploaded in a matter of days as opposed to months, and more importantly, because space is not a factor in online publication, the entire texts of my articles and interviews are unedited and appear in complete form. I am therefore able to interview my bass subjects with as much depth and detail as they deserve.
I am currently a staff writer for Bass Musician Magazine.
